Today, I'm gonna introduce 2018 new product arrival news!
About 20 products will be released this year.

We would like to show you a little bit more quickly before launching in earnest.
I went directly to the shooting site.

New products are the winner of 20th Korea Tourist Souvenir Contest.
 So, they were really beautiful and high-quality products!

1. Paper Shadow Art

Shadow art is a technique that turns two-dimensional works into three-dimensional ones.
Eight layers were expressed animatedly using a precise laser cutting technique.

They show a variety of tourist attractions in Korea.

2. Hangeul Typography Illustration

It is a product that expresses Korean consonants with simple illustrations

using the characteristics of the square shape of Hangeul!

These traditional culture products were born with eye-catching color and sensual design.

3. Mother-of-Pearl Bookmark

As a mother-of-pearl bookmark, it was manufactured by inserting mother-of-pearl in metal

using the inlaid technique of traditional Korean hanok window and door patterns.

It contains the beauty of Korean traditional houses.

4. Coloring Korea

Coloring Korea is a coloring book that was designed with tourist destinations in Korea as a motif,

and comprises five representative Korean tourist destinations:

Seoul, Busan, Jejudo, Geolla-do, and Gyeongsang-do.

As it contains a map of relevant tourist attractions and information

on the regions is written I Korean and English,

it can also be used as a tourist site information book.

Let's find out about the hot spots in Seoul that are popular these days.

If you walk past Gwanghwamun's skyscraper and go to Jongno,

you will see a Nakwon Alley.

Starting from the Nakwon Alley, go inside further.

The reason why this place has become a hot spot is the atmosphere.

Ikseon-dong is a small and delicate place to experience the authentic Korean atmosphere.

There are many traditional teahouses with the atmosphere of Hanok,

so it would be good to visit and eat pumpkin saltimI, bar rice cake, chrysanthemum tea, omija tea.

3. Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu, Chungbuk, Korea

Located in the southwest of Mapo-gu, Seoul, Mangwon-dong is also a hot rising spot.

Known as Mangridan-gil, this place is famous for its young merchants,

distinctive small restaurants, and unique atmosphere of cafes.

Stores located in Mangwon-dong have one characteristic in common.

which was visited by foreigners visiting Mapo-gu, Seoul.

There are exotic cafes, small galleries, small stores and fashion shops, live cafes

and clubs, and a variety of restaurants.

Hongdae is always crowded with many people

because it has various events, street performances, festivals, and other cultural elements.

As it is the start of all trends, it is also a good place

to enjoy unusual activities such as VR experience, room escape cafes, and archery cafes.

Interest towards the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics has increased.
Many people cried and laughed at the athletes ' efforts and results while watching the Olympics.

Today, I would like to introduce tourist attractions

that should not be missed by anyone who visits

Pyeongchang and Gangneung in Gangwon Province to watch the worldwide festival,

2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

1.  Is there winter kingdom? Sheep ranch in Daegwanryeong

Sheep Farm in Daegwanryeong-myeon is the most essential course in Pyeongchang.
Sheep Farm is very accessible in the stadium.

It is only 6 kilometers from Pyeongchang Olympic Plaza and 15 minutes by car.

Enjoy the beautiful snowy winter scenery and experience the sheep being fed with hay.

Would you like to enjoy the heat of the Olympics and then feel the nature in a quiet place?

if then, Woljeongsa is recommended.

Inside Odaesan National Park, the entrance to Woljeongsa Temple is packed with

about 1700 fir trees 40 meters tall.

As you walk along the landscape with white snow, you will feel the deep winter flavor.

However, please note that there is an entrance fee of 3,000 won!

3. Enjoy the winter sea in Gangneung and coffee at once

Hot-place in Gangneung is a coffee street located along the Anmok coast.

or a loop tower and terrace are provided.

Let's get hooked on Gangneung's charm by drinking a cup of coffee

that suits your taste and favor in the open sea!

4. Again, Tokebi

Last year, the Korean drama Tokebi was a huge sensation.

Pyeongchang Yongpyong Resort is known to have installed an interesting photo zone

on its side of the gondola tower.

The 2018 Winter Olympics started today.
People's interest in Pyeongchang's Olympic Games has increased.

Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics, the highest gold medal event ever.
You can meet with a total of 15 events and 102 detailed events. There are so many contests!

In the last post, we looked at the schedule of events and games that are in the snow and ice.
Today, let's talk about sliding sports and its’ event.

Let's start with Sliding.

Sliding include kind of 3 sports.

Luge, Skeleton, bobsled

1.     Luge

Luge is a sport in which you run from 1,000 to 1,500 meters in a small sled with your feet forward and your face toward the sky. One (single) or two (double) athletes will start each. Private events add up the records of four runs in two days. The two (2) seats shall be carried out by adding the times the team has run two (2) times a day and the team relay shall be carried out by one (1) time. It's measured to a thousandth of a second.

2.     Skeleton

Skeleton is a winter sliding sport in which a person rides a small sled, known as a skeleton bobsled (or -sleigh), down a frozen track while lying face down. Unlike other sliding sports of bobsleigh and luge, the race always involves single riders. Like bobsleigh, but unlike luge, the race begins with a running start from the opening gate at the top of the course. The sport (and the sled) were named from the bony appearance of the sled.

3.     Bobsleigh

Bobsleigh or bobsled is a winter sport in which teams of two or four teammates make timed runs down narrow, twisting, banked, iced tracks in a gravity-powered sled. The timed runs are combined to calculate the final score.

The various types of sleds came several years before the first tracks were built in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where the original bobsleds were adapted upsized luge/skeleton sleds designed by the adventurously wealthy to carry passengers. All three types were adapted from boys' delivery sleds and toboggans.

Competition naturally followed, and to protect the working class and rich visitors in the streets and byways of St Moritz, bobsledding was eventually banned from the public highway. In the winter of 1903/1904 the Badrutt family, owners of the historic Kulm Hotel and the Palace Hotel, allowed Emil Thoma to organise the construction of the first familiarly configured 'half-pipe' track in the Kulm Hotel Park, ending in the village of Cresta. It has hosted the sport during two Olympics and is still in use today.

Today, let's talk about ice sports and ice sports events..

Let's start with ice sports.

The events include

curling, speed skating, short track speed skating,

ice hockey and figure skating.

1. curling

Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice towards a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules and shuffleboard. Two teams, each with four players, take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones, also called rocks, across the ice curling sheet towards the house, a circular target marked on the ice. 2. speed skating

Speed skating is a competitive form of ice skating in which the competitors race each other in travelling a certain distance on skates. Types of speed skating are long track speed skating, short track speed skating, and marathon speed skating. (wikipedia)

3. short track - speed skating

Short track speed skating is a form of competitive ice speed skating. In competitions, multiple skaters (typically between four and six) skate on an oval ice track with a length of 111.111 metres. (Wikipedia)

4. Ice hockey
