Korean Sunrise attractions, BEST 6!

Hello this is Korean National Center :)

I’m eagerly look forward to see the first sunrise of 2018, and I guess you are also excited about it!

So I want to share the information about Korean sunrise attraction, for your amazing 2018! :D

1. Seoul Sky park

 

 

 

If you don’t want to get out of Seoul, the Seoul Sky Park would be the best attraction for you to see the sunrise!

 

Seeing the sunrise at the center of the city will appeal with another charming point,

different from seeing at the sea-side.

 

Sunrise with the skyline of Seoul will show you a magnificent view : )

 

It is easy for everyone to go to the sky park sunrise attraction, because the road to the attraction has a gentle slope.

It takes about only 10 minutes, so you can go there without a big effort!

 

Oh, after the sunrise, you can take a walk through the silver grass field or the metasequoia road!

It is one of the charming point of Seoul Sky Park, so don’t forget it (๑•̀ㅅ•́)و✧

2. Gangneung Jeongdongjin

 

 

Jeongdongjin is the Korean-no.1 sunrise attraction.

Everyone knows that Jeongdongjin has a beautiful sunrise sight.

 

Rising sun above the infinite horizontal line is very amazing.

Jeongdongjin is easy to go by train, and it is not far from Seoul. So it’s very popular!

 

If you are planning for the train-trip, you can take the ‘sea train’ which is run by Korail (Korean Railroad).

It will take you Jeongdongjin very quickly and comfortably.

 

(You can also go to Donghae, Samchuck, and so on if you get the sea train!)

3. Busan Haeundae

 

 

Busan Haeundae beach is one of the attractions that are good for both of summer and winter.

 

One of the Haeundae’s best charm is sunrise sight.

Haeundae is at the end of the East see of Korea, so it has a beautiful sunrise view.

 

You can get to the Busan from Seoul with train, and after you arrive at Busan,

you can get to the beach if you walk along the path from the Haeundae train station for minutes.

 

Taking a train is better than drive your own car because there’s so many people for seeing the sunrise sight.

 

It has a great restaurants and café with nice mood,

because Haeundae is one of the most popular attractions in Korea.

You can have a great meal after seeing the sunrise!

4. Yeosu Hyangilam

 

When people think about the sunrise, many people search only East sea side.

But there’s also a great attractions for sunrise view at the South sea side : Yeosu Hyangilam! ٩( ᐛ )و

 

The meaning of the name, Hyangilam, is “A temple seeing the sun”.

As you can analogize with its name, it is one of the best sunrise attractions.

It has a beautiful sunrise sight.

 

Thanks to the geographical characteristic that is surrounded by sea,

you can see both of sunset and sunrise at Hyangilam.

 

You can enjoy not only sunrise but also Odongdo Island and Suncheon Bay Eco Park,

so Yeosu will be the best destination for you to visit if you are planning the train-trip.

5. Seoul Achasan Mountain

 

 

 

In Seoul, there are more sunrise-attractions apart from Sky Park.

One of those is Achasan Mountain, which is very popular for its superb natural scenery!

 

Achasan Mountain is always beautiful, but it’s amazing especially when the sun rises.

The Han River, buildings of Seoul, and a superb natural landscape of Achasan Mountain make

the picturesque scenery when the sun rises and goes down.  ♥⁺◟(◍'◡'◍)◞⁺♥

 

It takes 30 minutes to 1 hour from the entrance to the top,

so you have to climb a mountain slope with patience.

 

But if you have some trouble with your joints, you have to consider to climb the Achasan

because there’s so many stairs in Achasan Mountain.

6. Dangjin Waemok village

 

 

Can you believe that you can see the sunrise at the west sea side, not the sunset?

Amazingly, you can see the sunrise at Dangjin Waemok village!

 

The meaning of “waemok” is the neck of heron, and Waemok village looks like it.

Waemok village is surrounded by the sea, like a cape jutting out into the sea.

 

Because of that, Waemok village is already popular with sunrise and sunset.

If you want to see the wider view of sunrise, you can also climb Seokmun Mountain, nearby the beach.

 

You can enjoy the sunrise festival with tteokguk, the Korean traditional sliced rice cake soup,

if you visit Dangjin Waemok village on 31st December to 1st January.

 

But there’s one caution.

If you want to see the sunrise above the Chotdaebawi Rock, like the picture,

you have to visit here on November or Feburary. (๑•̀ㅅ•́)و✧
