Hello!

It's Korea National Souvenir Center :)

We're back to the 'What is it for?' series!

We'll give you a quiz right away!!

What is this..?

What is this for?

Let's take it step by step!

Gold from the wrapping..!!

It looks so luxury.

You don't feel it yet, do you? :-)

Let's open the lid.

I see.. a beautiful wood and shining with gold..

Something must be important!!

Hexagon.. One to five dots on each side...

Is it ornament?

But what are the eight objects next to it???

What?! This pattern is familiar!

Now do you know the answer?

The Joseon traditional board game during the Korean holidays

This is the fun Yut game!

Introduce the luxurious and unique Yut game set

that is sold at the Korea National Souvenir Center.

HANYUT is a Yut game set

that was inspired from the Joseon traditional board game of Seunggyeongdo

and reinterpreted the existing four Yut Garak with one Yut stick!

The stick use a delicate, solid piece of straw.

Beautiful colored brass and red copper were combined in harmony using inlaid technique.

It is also said that the wood is made of eco-friendly oil.

Metal materials will be more vintage as time goes by!

Since the stick and the pieces are made up of hexagonal and circular shapes,

you can feel the aesthetics and formative characteristics.

Wait here!

Usually, Yut sticks are composed of four pieces.

HANYUT has one especially thick, but only light.

Don't you wonder how do you divide 'Do, Gae, Gul, Yut, Mo'?

If you throw a Yut stick and the side that has five circles will be 'Mo'

A long circle is a single backwards movement, 'Backdo'.

Another unique feature of HANYUT is

its low probability of having a chance to throw twice when the stick is placed.

Anyone can enjoy these rules

because this is the same as Yut game we know about.

Visit the Korea National Souvenir Center

to see the traditional board game, the beautiful and unique 'HANYUT'!
