The weather is so nice

that I feel like going out to play these days.

(I want to go outside T_T)

So today,

when the weather is good

I've prepared a walking tour course in Seoul where you can enjoy walking.

Seoul is a particularly good city to take a walk in

as it is a harmonious combination of traditional culture and modern features,

and each neighborhood has a variety of characteristics!

Seoul is becoming more and more attractive as we look around. >_<

Let's take a look at the sights of Seoul with Korea National Souvenir Center!

1. Samcheong-dong

Gyeongbokgung Palace, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Changdeok Palace, Changgyeong Palace, Jongmyo Shrine and so on.

There are so many things to see.

(출처: 주니짱님 블로그, https://blog.naver.com/rose0626)

The road from Anguk Station to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art(MMCA)

is also called  Gamgodang-gil .

Gamgodang-gil is a place filled with Korean landscapes.

It even became a popular filming location for the drama "또오해영"!!

It is composed of stone-wall streets,

so it is very beautiful.

As you walk down the street, you will come to this beautiful flower house!!

I think it's a great place to have a good mood since there is often busking. ♪(´ε` )

Gyongbokgung Palace and MMCA are located 10 minutes away on foot,

so you can enjoy a trip to Seoul without a moment of boredom.

Gyongbokgung Palace is free if you put on Hanbok

so can play really well!

2. Iteawon

Iteawon, the city of youth!!!!

Did you know that there is a war memorial in this city

that looks like darkness will never die at night?

You'll be at the War Memorial in 10 minutes on foot from Exit 11 of the Samgakji Station.

In honor of the patriots' dedication to the country and learning about the importance of peace

through the honnors of the war,

it has served as a seal of national defense security education.

There are prominent figures of the UN soldiers who died during the Korean War and the soldiers.

It would be a good trip to visit the exhibits in honor of the war dead.

Besides, it's free!!!

3. Hyehwa-dong

(출처: 한국관광공사)

Hyehwa is a cultural art town.

There are so many small theaters that do a variety of plays.

After dinner,

'I want some fresh air!'

Naksan Park.

It's a very popular night park.

You can enjoy the night view of Seoul's open streets.

Mosquitoes in the summer and cold in the winter

It is not easy to enjoy the night view.

It would be  a perfect way to travel  in this pleasant spring weather!!

4. Gyeonguiline

If you want to enjoy phytoncide in the middle of Seoul~?

In 2005, the Gyeonguiline was reborn

after only the railroad was remained empty

due to the project of underground railway construction.

Walk on the old unremoved trail and chat with your friends!!

(출처: 한국관광공사)

In Yeonnam-dong, there is also brook,

so it is very cool at night.

Don't forger that flea market runs on weekends~!

5. Insadong

The last one is Insadong.

Insadong has a lot of things to see, too.

Street performing, Ssamjigil, and traditional tea house.

And
Korea National Souvenir Center!!!

It's a perfect route, isn't it?

Go to Insadong to see the props,

eat street food,

See the souvenir at the Korea National Souvenir Center,

Chat at the tearooms, I won't be able to rest all day.

A perfect day!!!

Keep that in mind

INSA-DONG STREET FOOD BEST 4 : KOREAN SNACK RECOMMENDATION

Hello, this is Korea National Souvenir Center !

I'm excited about spring. I feel like leaving somewhere.

Many spring flowers encourage me to go out in the spring,

but I think the best one is cherry blossom trees that I will introduce you today.

We have to plan ahead because it can be difficult if we don't hurry and prepare for the trip.

Let's find out when the cherry blossom trees bloom in 2018
and where to enjoy the cherry blossom festival.

First, it is the time of 2018 cherry blossom season.

Where can we see these pretty cherry blossoms?

1. Yeongdeungpo Spring Flower Festival 2018

Maybe it is the most famous cherry blossom festival in Seoul.

Yeouido Spring Flower Festival, which is loved by many people every year,
is now becoming an international cultural festival.

The Yeongdeungpongpo-do Spring Flower Spring Festival is said to
host a variety of performances, exhibitions, promotions and experience-including singing contest,
cute character parade, and flower macha operation.

2. Jinhae Gunhangje System 2018

Every year from late March to early April, tourists visit the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival
to enjoy the beauty of cherry blossoms.

At this time, the whole city of Jinhae is known to be covered with cherry blossom trees.

Jinhaeman has legs in several places,
one of which is named Romance Bridges.

The 1.5-kilometer-long cherry blossom path
from the front of Jinhae Girls ' Middle School
to the northern parking lot became even more popular
when CNN chose one of the 50 places to visit in Korea.

3. Bulguksa Cherry Blossom Festival 2018

Everyone has various cherry blossom festival sites except Yeouido and Jinhae, which are famous.
Among cherry blossom festivals, it is the most popular festival in Gyeongju.

It is said that the cherry blossoms of Gyeongju are in full bloom and
then continue on to the cherry blossom trees of Bulguksa via Bomunho.

Why don't you rent a bike near the Kyungjoo Bus Terminal and enjoy the cherry blossoms?
It costs 7,000 won a day, and 10,000 won for good specifications.

As a recommendation
From downtown Gyeongju to the tomb of General Kim Yun-shin along Seocheon Bridge.
It is also a good idea to look around Daereungwon and Wolseong.

Finally, Bomun, too.
It is said that the atmosphere is great because the Bomun Lake,
one of the best tourist attractions in Gyeongju, is covered with cherry blossoms.

And since sophisticated accommodation is in the area, would you kill two birds with one stone?

Why don't you feel relaxed by the cherry blossoms of Bomun?

4. Hwagae Cherry Blossom Festival 2018

After the last cold spell, the Hwagae tree is said to be in full bloom in April.
Hwagae Road is known for its cherry blossoms.

It is also called " Honeul-gil, " as it is said that young men and women
who love each other have to hold their hands tightly together for a year.

Many young men and women take hold of their hands and walk this romantic path.

You can also taste the aromatic spring herbs of Jiri Mountain that the people of
Hwagae make themselves.

They say you can also taste some local food such as raw fish, fish soup.

We have learned about the various cherry blossom festivals together.
I'm already anxious to leave.

Where are the famous cherry blossom festival? I wonder ~

Hello, this is Korea National Souvenir Center in Insa-dong, Seoul.

Insadong has many Korean traditional teahouses

with a peaceful atmosphere.

Trusted traditional tea houses recommended by National Souvenir Center employees!

I prepared Jidaebang(지대방) review today :-)

The store was opened in 1982 and

is said to be the oldest traditional tea house in Insa-dong which has remained open so far.

Trust is more blustering, isn't it?

Jidaebang is located in the middle of Insa-dong, just five minutes away from our store !

If you walk up the stairs to the second floor,

a door that looks like a traditional Korean house gate is welcoming you !

Each artifact, every wall has a sense of time and atmosphere.

The menu is really unique in this store.

They put a menu in a bamboo barrel like this.

It was the most distinctive menu I've ever seen.

" We don't carry instant labor here,

but we collect or buy materials from

mountains and fields around the country

and make it by hand. "

It was written on the menu, but

so after reading this, I felt a lot of excitement!

It's very reliable!

We ordered ice omija tea and ripe persimmon tea !

Omija tea is brewed with Omija's fruit,

which has five different taste

It is known to be effective when you catch a cold.

Isn't the color really pretty?

Maybe it's because they don't use instant,

and they're using the original color of the material.

Both of the dishes were delicious because they were moderately sweet.

I will visit again to eat flower tea and roast rice cake that I have not eaten yet.

When you visit Insa-dong,

How about to stop by the Jidaebang and Korea National Souvenir Center XD

Hello, We are Korea Souvenir Center.

Isn't everyone having a busy day with the start of March?

As you repeat your busy life, you suddenly feel like you want to leave suddenly.

So today I prepared best night train destination,

when I suddenly wanted to leave!

I think that night trip is  a good idea to have a good trip on the weekend.

Then let's find out where is a good place to go by night train.

1. East Sea

When you ride on a night train in Seoul, you will arrive in 'East sea' at 4 a.m.

Arrived to 'East sea', you have to do is watching the sun rise.

(It would be stupid ... When you miss the sun rise).

Mukho Lighthouse's sunrise is said to be a magnificent spectacle.

If you step down from the lighthouse and go below the swaying bridge, you can see the sea more closely!

If you saw the sunrise, how about Non-gol Temple with a cute mural on it?

You should take a picture in Nongoldae-road.

In particular, Non-goldam-road is known to have three different courses,
so it would be a good idea to choose your own course.

2. Suncheon

If you take the last train at Yeongdeungpo Station, you will arrive at Suncheon at 3:30 a.m.

If you want to see the sunrise in a different way, why don't you visit Nagan Fortress?

After watching the sunrise, go to Suncheonman Bay!

Suncheonman Bay is MUST VISIT spot in Suncheon.

It is one of Suncheon's best place for its harmony with reed beds and mudflats.

3. Busan

If you travel by night, you can't miss Busan.

If you start by night train at Yeongdeungpo Station, you will arrive in Busan in 5 hours.

If you want to see the sunrise from Busan, how about Taejongdae with its ocean, cliffs and dense forest?

Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, which is directly adjacent to the sea,
is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Busan.

In addition, various foods are waiting for you.

4. The last destination is Miryang.

Miryang, which takes about 4 hours and a half by night train from Seoul.

Miryang's Youngnamaru is considered one of the
                                         must-see attractions for the country.

The colorful lights on the pavilion and the night view of Milyang Bridge make your night beautiful.

Milyang Theater Village is also a popular tourist spot. in Miryang.

Isn't it amazing how many domestic travel spots there are for you to go by night train?

Already, I have booked a night train to Suncheon.

Why don't you leave your tired life, too?

Let's all leave to find freedom!

Let's book tickets together!

Hot Place in Seoul

K-tour 2018. 2. 23. 17:10

Hello~

We are National Souvenir Center !

It looks like spring is coming.

It's getting warm enough that I don't have to wear a jacket anymore.

It looks like there are many people who visit Korea as the weather gets warmer.

Those who travel to Korea, or are now in Korea

Did you wonder a lot about where to visit in Seoul?

Let's find out about the hot spots in Seoul that are popular these days.

1. Insa-dong

Insadong is a must-trained place for foreigners.

As it is also called the street of traditional culture,

you can see various Korean cultural events and traditional art pieces there.

In addition, Insa-dong is packed with about 100 galleries.

Also the National Souvenir Center are located in Insa-dong,

allowing visitors to tour various traditional Korean items and make a good purchase.

(Greet when I meet you! Promise!)

And the HR traditional culture festival, which started in 1987, provides fun.

There are many events available, including traditional performances and exhibitions,

and a variety of events that will enable visitors to participate directly during the event.

2. Ikseon-dong

There is quiet space in the noisy and complicated city.

It's Ikseon-dong.

There are many Hanok buildings to feel the present and past of Seoul.

If you walk past Gwanghwamun's skyscraper and go to Jongno,

you will see a Nakwon Alley.

Starting from the Nakwon Alley, go inside further.

The reason why this place has become a hot spot is the atmosphere.

Ikseon-dong is a small and delicate place to experience the authentic Korean atmosphere.

There are many traditional teahouses with the atmosphere of Hanok,

so it would be good to visit and eat pumpkin saltimI, bar rice cake, chrysanthemum tea, omija tea.

3. Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu, Chungbuk, Korea

Located in the southwest of Mapo-gu, Seoul, Mangwon-dong is also a hot rising spot.

Known as Mangridan-gil, this place is famous for its young merchants,

distinctive small restaurants, and unique atmosphere of cafes.

Stores located in Mangwon-dong have one characteristic in common.

Most cafes or restaurants are too small to fill with three or four tables.

Mangwon-dong has many small restaurants that sell dishes of various nationalities

that are rarely found anywhere else.

It is also a good place to end the day with a quiet drink and conversation.

4. Hongdae

Last year, the most popular tourist destination was Hongdae

which was visited by foreigners visiting Mapo-gu, Seoul.

The streets of Hongdae are filled with youth, romance, art, underground culture, and individuality.

There are exotic cafes, small galleries, small stores and fashion shops, live cafes

and clubs, and a variety of restaurants.

Hongdae is always crowded with many people

because it has various events, street performances, festivals, and other cultural elements.

As it is the start of all trends, it is also a good place

to enjoy unusual activities such as VR experience, room escape cafes, and archery cafes.

I hope this posting helps you a lot.

Thank you.

Hey~!
We are Korea National Souvenir Center.

Interest towards the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics has increased.
Many people cried and laughed at the athletes ' efforts and results while watching the Olympics.

Today, I would like to introduce tourist attractions

that should not be missed by anyone who visits

Pyeongchang and Gangneung in Gangwon Province to watch the worldwide festival,

2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

1.  Is there winter kingdom? Sheep ranch in Daegwanryeong

Sheep Farm in Daegwanryeong-myeon is the most essential course in Pyeongchang.
Sheep Farm is very accessible in the stadium.

It is only 6 kilometers from Pyeongchang Olympic Plaza and 15 minutes by car.

Enjoy the beautiful snowy winter scenery and experience the sheep being fed with hay.

2. Walk with SOVS in calm hidden place.

Would you like to enjoy the heat of the Olympics and then feel the nature in a quiet place?

if then, Woljeongsa is recommended.

Inside Odaesan National Park, the entrance to Woljeongsa Temple is packed with

about 1700 fir trees 40 meters tall.

As you walk along the landscape with white snow, you will feel the deep winter flavor.

However, please note that there is an entrance fee of 3,000 won!

3. Enjoy the winter sea in Gangneung and coffee at once

Hot-place in Gangneung is a coffee street located along the Anmok coast.
If you have seen the game at the Gangneung Ice Arena, you can go there more easily.

Most cafes have big windows to see the ocean,

or a loop tower and terrace are provided.

Let's get hooked on Gangneung's charm by drinking a cup of coffee

that suits your taste and favor in the open sea!

4. Again, Tokebi

Last year, the Korean drama Tokebi was a huge sensation.

Pyeongchang Yongpyong Resort is known to have installed an interesting photo zone

on its side of the gondola tower.

Its theme is the drama Winter Sonata and Tokebi, they so-called "Korean Wave Photo Zone ".

If you recognize the QR code installed in Photo Zone,

you can also watch drama clips.

Be sure to participate! :-P

Let's move on to fun places after the game with your family, friends and loved one!

Even though the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang ends on February 25,

the International Paralympics will continue its Olympic Games!

Korea National Souvenir Center is to cheer for

good results with the efforts and enthusiasm of all the athletes.

Thank you.

Hello, We’re Korea National Souvenir Center.

The 2018 Winter Olympics started today.
People's interest in Pyeongchang's Olympic Games has increased.
Pyeongchang Goods is also becoming more popular on sale here.

We waited 30 years.

Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics, the highest gold medal event ever.
You can meet with a total of 15 events and 102 detailed events. There are so many contests!
Let's take a look at it with a Korean tourist attraction store.

https://www.pyeongchang2018.com/ko/

In the last post, we looked at the schedule of events and games that are in the snow and ice.
Today, let's talk about sliding sports and its’ event.

Let's start with Sliding.

Sliding include kind of 3 sports.

Luge, Skeleton, bobsled

1.     Luge

Luge is a sport in which you run from 1,000 to 1,500 meters in a small sled with your feet forward and your face toward the sky. One (single) or two (double) athletes will start each. Private events add up the records of four runs in two days. The two (2) seats shall be carried out by adding the times the team has run two (2) times a day and the team relay shall be carried out by one (1) time. It's measured to a thousandth of a second.

2.     Skeleton

Skeleton is a winter sliding sport in which a person rides a small sled, known as a skeleton bobsled (or -sleigh), down a frozen track while lying face down. Unlike other sliding sports of bobsleigh and luge, the race always involves single riders. Like bobsleigh, but unlike luge, the race begins with a running start from the opening gate at the top of the course. The sport (and the sled) were named from the bony appearance of the sled.

3.     Bobsleigh

Bobsleigh or bobsled is a winter sport in which teams of two or four teammates make timed runs down narrow, twisting, banked, iced tracks in a gravity-powered sled. The timed runs are combined to calculate the final score.

The various types of sleds came several years before the first tracks were built in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where the original bobsleds were adapted upsized luge/skeleton sleds designed by the adventurously wealthy to carry passengers. All three types were adapted from boys' delivery sleds and toboggans.

Competition naturally followed, and to protect the working class and rich visitors in the streets and byways of St Moritz, bobsledding was eventually banned from the public highway. In the winter of 1903/1904 the Badrutt family, owners of the historic Kulm Hotel and the Palace Hotel, allowed Emil Thoma to organise the construction of the first familiarly configured 'half-pipe' track in the Kulm Hotel Park, ending in the village of Cresta. It has hosted the sport during two Olympics and is still in use today.

I hope the effort of the athletes who have worked hard for 4 years will be good.

Thank you.
