Hi! It's almost 2018. Are you guys preparing for the 2018 new year's card? :D

Today, I'm going to show you my 2018 greeting card! Hope you enjoy it @'-'@

Before start the post, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I wish you can have happy 2018, and hope 2018 would be yours.

In these days, in Korea, the scratch things are very popular for healing.

Many people do the scratch to reduce stress and have fun!

I also love to scratch the scenery like Sydney Opera House and Korea Gyeongbokgung Palace.

So, I'm going to make my greeting card with Pyeongchang Olympics Scratch Post Card Set!

The black bear character in the picture is named "Bandabi",

and you can massage your shoulder and neck with this Bandabi massager!

And the white tiger character wearing Hanbok on the postcard is named "Suhorang".

These two characters are the Olympics Mascot for 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics : )

Step by step, the scratch will be piled up!

I made some patterns that are look like Korean traditional pattern.

(Actually, they are just circles! haha!)

And then, I started to draw some messages!

So, I've prepared, the perfect guide to a warm Christmas! Let me introduce many ways to spend Christmas with us. Choose the type that works best for you and plan for a fun Christmas! Then, here we go!

1. Have a nice year-end party with your Christmas party, family or friends!

What if Christmas being alone was lonely? Why don't you have a home party with your family or friends? It would be a more splendid and joyful Christmas if there were delicious food and many people.

Do you like to see your art exhibitions?

On this cold winter day, the most emotional indoor activities you can enjoy in a warm place! It's an exhibition.

Today I am going to introduce the exhibitions that I can enjoy now in Insa-dong, Seoul.

Insadong does not have only traditional culture! From free exhibitions to gallery cafés, you can meet a variety of exhibitions.

The first exhibition to introduce is African art Tinga: Let's Be happy 'in Cultural Space.

It's a unique exhibition of African contemporary art.

The museum where the exhibition is held is a reconstructed building remodeling the waste plant. Colorful colors of African art filled with vintage space! Are not you curious? It will be on until January 28, 2018.

Insadong is must-go location in Seoul. There are so many restaurant and shops that give you Korean spirit.

Here are our 4 recommendations 

1. Gamgodang - gil

Did you see the k-drama Goblin(: The Lonely and Great God)?

Gamgodang-gil in Insadong is the place where the drama characters came out.

It is good to take pictures in a beautiful stone wall, and It is a place where you can meet wonderful Korean restaurants and small workshops. Why do not you try walking the pretty street like a Korean drama star?

2. Traditional village (Hanok Ma-eul)

Hanok Village is already well known, but it is a place that is absolutely essential.

Because of the complexity of the road, it can be difficult to visit without planning.

1. Yut Game

Did you play game of yut with friends at the end of the year?

game of yut is a Korean traditional play requiring good luck and strategy.

The yut sticks are similar to the dice. Results of six different outcomes are raised when you throw yut sticks. I think the yut game is well balanced in various ways. even more, everyone can easily enjoy playing!

Recently ive found some prmotional product collaborating with the most popular characters, 'We bare, bears' ! A well made game will be fun beyond the ages!

2. Paper Slap match

If you want to play a simple and active game, why don't you do slap match!

Veryt simple rules. With folded paper, Paper smashes the opponent's paper. Someone who has flipped over is beaten. and here's how to fold it.

I remember that i made it using all kinds of paper.

3. a marbles tournament (called 'Gong-Ghi)

One of the kroean traditional games, a marbles tournament !

it is the best game to enjoy together with cheap item!

Today, I will introduce 'Mother of Pearl' that is a traditional Korean craft culture.

It is called Jagae in Korea

In the traditional Korean handicraft culture, Jagae means a piece of a golden shell. That’s because Jagae’s English name is ‘Mother of Pearl.’

Korean people could find these folding screens or furniture decorated with jagae in their grandmother's house. (I guess it's hard to find in the countryside these days)

Maybe you might think of this furnitures not useful and too expensive. but don't be serious because it's just a traditional craft. Xd

You can find many beautiful and practical products in Korea National Souvenir Center. Would you like to take a look around?

It's a brooch made of mother-of-pearl! wow so shiny~!!

Jagae can be found in many Korean traditional chests, it is a dresser decorated with Jagae! it would be good for the interior decoration props.

The best-selling product, a nail-trimmer kit. If you look at this product closely, the sparkling Songkhak's mother-of-pearl looks gorgeous :D

And here's my last selection. Mini size drawer with mother-of-pearl design. It gives off a seductive charm.

It is a famous saying of King Sejong the King, whom Koreans love and respect most.

King Sejong is the king who is said to be the greatest king of Korea and has made great achievements in many fields such as politics, military, culture, science and art.

The greatest achievement is the creation of Hangul!

King Sejong made a phonetic symbol through inventing Hangul for people's rich use of language.

Koreans are exploring the achievements of King Sejong through various contents such as dramas, movies, and comics, as well as biography.

Song Jung-ki plays young sejong in the drama 'Tree with deep root', the 'Shinkijeon' is about the story of the weapon called Shinkijeon, and the musical '1446' containing the biography of King Sejong!

If you go to Gwanghwamun Square, which is the center of Seoul, you can see the statue of Sejong that always keeps the spot.

After meeting the statue of King Sejong, find a Korea national souvenir center located 10 minutes walk from Gwanghwamun Square. In a straight line from where King Sejong statute is located.

Have you ever thought about it?

There is a bowl that keeps growing things when you put anything!

It is a folktale called ‘widow’s cruse’ which descends for several hundred years.

(And i wonder what it looks like)

A poor bachelor who lived at the beach went down to the village to sell the tree and then find a live snapper sold by a merchant. When he saw the snapper, panting its breath, the bachelor used his money to release the snapper on the beach. One day a beautiful woman who came to the bachelor said that she was a snapper. She recommended him to go to the dragon king and bring a bowl look like soybean.

That’s the widow’s cruse, a mysterious bowl that keeps all kinds of things and does not diminished!

It looks like soybean, as the snapper expresses. Widow’s cruse does not have a sleek and polished design, but it has lumpy and rustic style!

The reason why the bachelor in the folktale is given widow’s cruse is because he does good work of releasing the snapper.
